Objectives:

To contribute towards poverty reduction through improvement of access to social and basic services and economic resources and opportunities of the local people by building trail bridges within one hour detour.

Major Achievements:

Date	Title
	During the project period, the Trail Bridge Sub Sector Programme (TBSSP) facilitated the planning, design, and construction of two trail bridges in Sindhupalchok District.
	The project supported the formation and mobilization of two Bridge User Committees (BUCs) to implement bridge construction through a community-based approach. Detailed surveys, engineering designs, and cost estimates were completed for both bridges in compliance with the technical standards of the Trail Bridge Sub Sector Programme.
	Technical and social support was provided throughout the implementation process, including construction supervision, quality assurance, monitoring, and the facilitation of public hearings, public reviews, and public audits. Final technical inspections confirmed that both bridges were completed in accordance with the prescribed technical specifications and quality standards.
	The completed bridges have significantly improved year-round, safe, and reliable access for 102 households, directly benefiting 583 people, including 311 females and 272 males. Among the beneficiaries, 76 are Dalits, 369 are Janajati, and 138 belong to Brahmin/Chhetri communities. The project has enhanced access to education, health services, markets, and other essential public services while contributing to improved rural connectivity and livelihood opportunities.
