The project successfully supported the implementation of the Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) Declaration Campaign in Dhulikhel Municipality by strengthening institutional coordination and promoting child-centered local governance practices. |
| |
During the project period, five Child Friendly Local Governance Ward Committees were established in Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 to coordinate and oversee the implementation of child-friendly initiatives. The project facilitated regular committee meetings, strengthened child networks, conducted community- and ward-level orientations on Child Friendly Local Governance, supported periodic investment planning for children, and promoted the active participation of children and community stakeholders in local governance processes. |
| |
The project also provided close coordination and technical facilitation to Dhulikhel Municipality and the five target wards throughout the declaration process. As a result of these collaborative efforts, Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Dhulikhel Municipality were officially declared Child Friendly Wards, demonstrating their commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and enabling environment for children through improved local governance, community participation, and child-focused service delivery. |
