Major Achievements:

Date Title
The project successfully supported the implementation of the Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) Declaration Campaign in Dhulikhel Municipality by strengthening institutional coordination and promoting child-centered local governance practices.
During the project period, five Child Friendly Local Governance Ward Committees were established in Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 to coordinate and oversee the implementation of child-friendly initiatives. The project facilitated regular committee meetings, strengthened child networks, conducted community- and ward-level orientations on Child Friendly Local Governance, supported periodic investment planning for children, and promoted the active participation of children and community stakeholders in local governance processes.
The project also provided close coordination and technical facilitation to Dhulikhel Municipality and the five target wards throughout the declaration process. As a result of these collaborative efforts, Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Dhulikhel Municipality were officially declared Child Friendly Wards, demonstrating their commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and enabling environment for children through improved local governance, community participation, and child-focused service delivery.
