Technical support to Rural Municipality to incorporate WASH in school procedure in their planning process (Including Review Existing Practices)
On 30th March 2024, under the support of WaterAid Nepal, Civic Forum has completed a ” Technical support to Rural Municipality to incorporate WASH in school procedure in their planning process (Including Review Existing Practices) at Dhulikhel village resort ” under the project ‘Foundations For The Future (FFTF) with a prime objective to give review about the progress till date and to orient the participants on importance of WASH procedure which helps to invade in their planning phase. Under the chief hospitality of Mrs. Renuka Chaulagain along with CAO, LEU Head, Ward Chairpersons, Board members, Executive member and Civic Forum staffs.
- After reviewing the progress of Foundations for the Future It was decided to express commitments.
- In coming years RM will Invade S-WASH in the policy and divide budget focus on continuous monitoring and evaluation.
- According to the WASH procedures rural municipality should implement WASH as localized and included in the curriculum and textbooks. So they committed to implement.
- Activation of WASH Committees which are made for Water quality test, operation and maintenance, Local WASH planning committee.
- Program that have implemented by ward level regarding WASH plan division of budgets will be monitoring.
- Civic Forum will support and coordinate as needed in the implementation of the WASH PLAN.
- Both Civic forum and RM should make efforts to declare 3 star in remaining schools.
- To construct Inclusive toilet and fencing in each ward schools RM will take initiate.
- Keep focusing on the topic of Drinking water, Sanitation and hygiene.
- While newly constructing at schools and RM they will be inclusive and child friendly structures.
