Community Based Monitoring of Local Government/Public Goods and Services
Objectives:
- The objective of this project will be to increase the capacity of the target class, community and citizens to establish full accountability, transparency and quality in the plan operated with the subsidy of local bodies.
Key Activities:
- Training seminar for the capacity development of organization employees/officials.
- District level coordination and program introductory meeting.
- Review of project implementation provisions.
- Regular on-site inspection and monitoring by consumers.
- Small group discussion.
- Focus group discussion.
- Study of project related documents.
- Take complaints and feedbacks from the community.
- Preparing reports and discussing with stakeholders and informing them.
- Publish the results.
- Organize a public debate.
- Monitoring the implementation of commitments.
- Publicizing the progress of implementation of commitments.
Expected Results:
Transparency, quality and efficiency will be maintained in the plans operated by the local bodies.
Plans run with the support of local bodies will begin the practice of publicizing information of public interest.
There will be an increase in the participation of target groups and ordinary citizens in the monitoring and surveillance of the plans run by the local government.
The capacity of civil society organizations will be developed for enhancing social responsibility.
