Membership and professional expertise

Civic Forum divides its members into four categories: general, life-time, honorary, and founder. Currently, the organization has 33 general members from various disciplines, including 22 males and 11 females (67% male and 33% female), among whom 9% are Dalit, 55% are Janajati, and 36% are Brahmin/Chhetri/Thakuri.

There are currently 33 general members from various disciplines, including social mobilization and social intervention; local governance and community development; rural development; planning, monitoring and evaluation; good governance and downward accountability; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); institutional strengthening; advocacy and policy analysis; research and development; human rights promotion; environment and natural resource management and conservation; agriculture; disaster risk reduction and emergency relief; education; public health; CR-WSP implementation; water-safe community declaration; safer migration; and community development.

Civic Forum has a wide range of human resources from various disciplines. While fulfilling the manpower requirements of its programs, the organization, as far as possible, meets these needs through its in-house resources and facilities. To ensure client satisfaction and deliver high-quality services with excellent performance, Civic Forum does not hesitate to engage external expertise when required. In addition, the organization has arrangements to provide qualified resource persons in various fields based on the needs of multidisciplinary agencies. The organization’s human resources have been successfully mobilized in previous assignments.

Volunteer and Internships

Civic Forum welcomes both national and international volunteers to take part in internships in order to develop their practical skills whilst producing work that is valuable to the organization.

Clean Water and Sanitation is the main thematic area of Civic Forum's current strategic plan. We are determined to making clean water and sanitation accessible to all.

Local Needs

We engage with the locals to identify the challenges and needs of the communities. Together with them we then develop solutions that address these needs and challenges.
